Terance Dixon, of Travelprint while
photographing wildlife for a forthcoming brochure in
Kenya took time out and
lived with the Samburu tribe for three days. Terance was able to shoot a small
but good body of work during his stay in the Manyatta not only of the tribe but
some wildlife material simply not available from the usual safari Kombi or
Landrover. When asked about the experience Terance said the strangest thing was
that he was requested to wear something red by the tribe. The only red thing he
had was a pair red hiking socks which were very thick and not so good in the
searing heat. A red strapped Swatch Watch on Terance’s wrist was soon spyed by
one of the taller tribesmen needless to say he now has the watch and Terance has
the beads. |
